Today, I read in Psalms 67 these words.
Let the peoples praise You, O God; let all the peoples praise You. Then will the earth yield its produce, and God, our God, will bless us. God will bless us, and all the ends of the earth will fear Him. Psalms 67:5-7
It struck me that I read "let the peoples praise You.....Then will the earth yield it's produce"
What does that mean? I don't know what it means for you, but I interpret this to say to me that if I praise God...there is a produce to yield. Like a fruit or vegetable.
What a promise! How does that apply to me? I can praise God and worship God now, and there will be a fruit, and vegetable, and I am talking about spiritual fruits more than a physical one.
What I think the scriptures are saying here is that God produces a fruit that comes from our praising of Him.
What I think "praising God" means is not only singing from the heart for a time a church or home, but "giving our whole self to God in trusting and loving God".
This is how I understand the Christian life. It's not complex like it seems to be, like our negative thoughts might make it out to be. It's saying "God, You are good, I want to know You, I want You God, I worship You God, I will trust in You God"
God knows our heart and will work in our mind and our spirit and heal us and enable us once again to produce good spiritual fruit.
